Home vs. Clinic: Should I stay or should I go?

Why not let the doctor come to you?

No wasted energy

When you are feeling under the weather, the last thing you want to do is spend valuable energy getting to the doctor’s office. You want to stay home and recuperate. This allows you to get the rest you need to recover because you don’t have to worry about leaving your house, or bed for that matter.

Avoid further illness

The treatment coming to you allows you to avoid other sick people that may be at the clinic, urgent care, or ER when your immune system is weakened, and avoid getting another infection. By staying home you also avoid exposing others to your illness.

Nurse the hangover quietly

This goes for experiencing a hangover as well. You hardly want to be driving, sitting around bright lights and loud people when your head is pounding and you are nauseated. Stay home and close to a bathroom for peace of mind.

You can privately experience relief when the treatment comes directly to you. You won’t have to crowd into the waiting room around other patients. And there’s no accidentally running into acquaintances or coworkers when you stay home.

Individual Care

Your physician is just focused on you during your appointment and doesn’t divide her attention to other patients in the clinic. There are no disruptions and your care is given top priority.
